How to Finally Get Consistent with Food & Fitness

Is this you?

* You work out intensely for a while, then you fall off completely, struggling to maintain consistency in the long term.
* You overwork and then collapse on the couch with a bottle of wine or a pan of brownies, feeling the weight of inconsistency and the guilt that follows.
* Thinking about food or your body nonstop keeps you from fully engaging in life—dating, adventures, travel, and even social gatherings feel daunting.
* You crave more ease, space, and freedom around food, fitness, or another area of life, but feel stuck.

You’ve tried it all: different diets, an array of fitness programs, and support from a variety of professionals like a nutritionist, dietician, or even your doctor. With each program, you’ve learned about healthy eating and effective workouts, but for some reason they only worked for a short period or time, and you ended up eventually falling back into old habits.

You’re left feeling frustrated with yourself and tired of the exhausting cycle of being "all-in" or "all-out" when it comes to healthy eating and exercise.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

Imagine feeling confident and in control while consistently staying on track without the guilt, self-restriction, or need to “white-knuckle” your way through everyday decisions. Whether it’s around food, fitness, or both, this workshop will help you uncover what's really driving your habits—and how to get consistent for good.

Join certified holistic health coach, Laura Folkes and personal trainer & flexibility specialist, Amanda Boike as they help you discover a new approach you haven’t tried yet. As two former yo-yo dieters who worked out until they were burnt out, Laura and Amanda are now masters of consistency and wellness programs that stick.

Join us in this 90-minute workshop to learn how to get to the root of what’s taking you off track, practical tools to create lasting shifts, and leave feeling empowered and prepared.

Specifically, in this workshop you'll experience:

* Powerful coaching questions to help you identify exactly what takes you off track with your eating
* Tools you can use right away to be more consistent
* Somatic exercises that will help you build your skills in a sustainable way

Reserve your spot today and take the first step towards getting consistent with food and fitness!

Event by Rockwell On The River and Jeff DeLong

  • 3057 North Rockwell Street Chicago, IL, 60618 United States (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Come and join the group for a night of exceptional music delivered to you live by Isaiah Collier. Prepare to absorb Free Jazz, Modal, Funk and world sounds. All taking place on Wed Oct 16 2024 at 6:00 PM at Rockwell on the River. It is important that you do not miss out on this night.

Isaiah Collier:
Born and raised on Chicago’s Southside, multi-instrumentalist Isaiah Collier has been surrounded by music his entire life. His father a piano player and mother a vocalist, these were the first instruments that Isaiah learned. At the age of 11 he followed in his older brothers footsteps and picked up the saxophone, under the guidance of Julian Champion. Isaiah began performing as a young teenager in small clubs and lounges with his siblings, throughout the city with his parents standing by in support. In those beginning years he would meet many of his mentors that would help him develop his technique and knowledge of the history of the music, which is a key aspect to not only his sound but his passion for the music he presents. Collier's sound and approach is drawn from the influences of other masters saxophonists such as John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, Gene Ammons, as well as two of his mentor Roscoe Mitchell, and, Ari Brown.

Brennemann Board of Education Candidate Forum

The League of Women Voters (LWV) and Friends of Brennemann are sponsoring a non-partisan Chicago Public School (CPS) Board of Education Candidate Forum on Monday, September 30 at 6:00 p.m. at Brennemann School. The forum will also be live streamed at facebook.com/lwvchicago

Many people are not aware that the CPS school board has always been appointed. The state legislature passed a law that the school board has to eventually be fully elected, and the transition to a fully-elected school board is beginning with our November 5th election when half the CPS School Board will be elected.

CPS divided the city into 10 districts for this election; we are in District 4. Our district has the highest number of candidates of any district, and one person from each district will win the election.

FOB and LWV put this non-partisan forum together to bring more light to this important election. Please join us on Monday so that you can be a more informed voter in our upcoming election.

Friends of Brennemann Board Members,

Sue Levine-Kelley, Jenny Maraccini, Jane Sebastian, Lucy Tuck, Lisa von Drehle
